Douglas Hatler, PGK, FICF, LUTCF
A Jersey City native, G. Douglas Hatler,
PGK, FICF,LUTCF
joined the Order in 1972. He is a member of the Wallington Council #3644
for which he served as Grand Knight twice. Doug has been a dedicated
participant in state and local membership and charity drives. He is a
past president of the New Jersey Association of Fraternal Insurance
Counsellors (NJFIC) and for the past 10 years has served as the chairperson
for the Bergen Federation Golf Tournament. Under his stewardship, the
Federation has been a significant donor to several charitable causes totaling
over $30,000. Members of St. Mary Parish, Doug and his wife Betty
reside in Rutherford, NJ along with their two children, Craig and Lauren.
Doug received his B.S. in economics from the University of Tennessee in 1972
and his M.B.A. from Farleigh Dickenson University in 1982.
A member of the North
Arlington Queen of Peace Council #3428, brother Vince Kratz and his
wife Diane have three children, Noelle 27 and twin boys Paul and Ryan 23.
They also have a beautiful granddaughter, Gina Maria. They've
resided in Rutherford for the past 36 years. Vincent holds a
Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a regular volunteer for his councils'
Right to Life and membership recruiting activities.
A Bergen County, New Jersey native and an agent since 2007, Michael is a
graduate of Bergen Catholic High School and holds a B.A. in Psychology from
William Patterson University. He currently holds licenses in New York
and New Jersey. Michael is a lifelong resident of Teaneck, NJ where he
still resides. He is active in his community and is a parishioner of
St. Anastasia's Catholic Church where he also serves on the Parish Council.
He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors. Michael is currently a member of E.G. Alberque Council 2229
in Ridgefield Park.
Don
was born and raised in Jersey City. He is a graduate of St. Anne School
in the Heights and St. Michael's HIgh School in neighboring Union City. Before
joining the Agency in 2006 Don had a distinguished 26 year career as an
industrial plastics sales representative. He also pursued an interest in
financial planning and worked with Primerica insurance. Don and his wife
Maria reside in Rutherford, where they are parishoners of The Church of St.
Mary. They have three children and four grandsons.
Daniel Kurek, FIC, FICF has been
a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1982. A Wisconsin native, Dan
was originally recruited into the Order by his father, Alfred, who was a
respected and tireless contributor to the Wabeno, Wisconsin Father Ocjewia Council
#4932
in the Green Bay Archdiocese. Dan is a 1983 graduate of the University
of Wisconsin with a Bachelor's Degree in history. He and his wife Bo reside in
Teaneck, NJ along with their children Billie Jean and Nick and are members of St. Joseph's Parish in Bogota.
In 2004 he was awarded the prestigious "Horizon Award" in recognition of his
outstanding family service. Dan is a member of the Star of the Sea Council
371 in Bayonne and has been an active participant in his Councils'
membership and Right to Life drives. Dan is also a devoted baseball
coach in Teaneck where Nick has played for the
past 7 years. He is also a past Director for the New Jersey Fraternal
Insurance Counselors (NJFIC). He was recognized as the "Field Agent Of The
Year" for 2009 and again in 2010 by his Agency. Through the first quarter of 2010 he ranked
within the top ten KofC field agents in net premium production.. In
March 2009
Dan was recognized for being in the top ten percent of the entire KofC field force in
the total amount of new business issued. He was instrumental
in helping both the Leonia, NJ Carmel Council 8982 and Norwood
Immaculate Conception Council #9021 achieve Star Council for the
2008-2009 Columbian Year.
Dan was honored by his fellow Brother Knights of Star of the Sea Council 371
on March 16, 2008 as the recipient of The Outstanding Service Award for
2007-2008, the first time ever that the Council selected a field agent
for that honor. In the first
quarter of 2008, he ranked sixth within the entire Knights of Columbus
Agency Department in new insurance application on members.
